Convert WebP images to PNG and keep transparent backgrounds. Free, in your browser, with nothing uploaded.
Camera data (EXIF, including GPS location) isn't copied into the converted files; photos are turned the right way up first. To make files smaller as well, use the image compressor.
PNG is the safe choice for logos, icons, stickers and screenshots saved as WebP, because it keeps transparency and every pixel exactly. It opens in every image editor, including old ones that don't know WebP.
No. The converting happens in your browser, on your own device, so the pictures never reach a server.
It's exactly as good as the WebP you open, not better: converting can't restore detail a lossy WebP already threw away. It just won't lose any more.
PNG is lossless, so it usually needs more space than WebP, especially for photos. For photos without transparency, WebP to JPG gives smaller files.
Only the first frame is kept, because a PNG holds a single picture.
