About the Excel workbook merger

Put several Excel workbooks together into one file. Keep every sheet as its own sheet (named after the file it came from), or stack tables that share the same columns — monthly reports, exports from different branches — into a single sheet, matched by their header names.

How to use it

  1. Drop or choose the workbooks (XLSX, XLS, ODS or CSV).
  2. Put them in order with the arrows.
  3. Choose Keep every sheet or Stack into one sheet, and download merged.xlsx.

Tip: When stacking, add the Source column so every row still says which file and sheet it came from.

Questions

Are formulas kept?

Yes when keeping sheets: formulas, merged cells and column widths come along. Formulas that point to other sheets may need checking if those sheets were renamed.

Is the formatting kept?

Values and layout are; cell colours and fonts are not. For full formatting, open the files in Excel Studio.

What if the columns are in a different order?

Stacking matches columns by their header name, so the order doesn't matter; a column that only some files have is filled where it exists.

Is my data uploaded?

No. The tool runs in your browser; what you paste or open never leaves your device and nothing is stored on a server.
