Turn SVG logos and icons into PNG images at the size you need, with transparent backgrounds. Free, and nothing is uploaded.

- Use it: https://cromagnon.app/convert/svg-to-png (free, runs in the browser)

## What it does

SVG is a vector format: it's drawn from shapes, so it stays sharp at any size, but many apps, social sites and document editors only accept pictures like PNG. The converter draws the SVG at the width you pick and saves a PNG with a transparent background.

## How to use it

1. Drop your SVG files on the box above, or click to choose them.
2. PNG is selected. Choose the width (256 to 4096 px); the height follows the SVG's shape.
3. Download the PNGs, or all of them as a ZIP.

## Tips

- **Pick a big enough size**: Choose the largest size you'll need. A PNG can be made smaller later without losing sharpness, but not bigger.
- **Fonts**: If the SVG uses a font that isn't installed on your device and isn't embedded in the file, a similar font is used instead. Convert text to outlines in your design program first.

## Questions

### Are my photos uploaded?

No. The converting happens in your browser, on your own device, so the pictures never reach a server.

### Why is part of my SVG missing?

For safety, browsers don't load outside files (linked images or fonts) when an SVG is drawn as a picture. Embed them in the SVG, or convert text to outlines.

### Is the background transparent?

Yes, wherever the SVG has no shapes. Choose JPG in the list instead if you need a solid background.
