## Questions

### Are my photos uploaded?

No. The converting happens in your browser, on your own device, so the pictures never reach a server.

### Does converting to PNG improve quality?

No. The PNG keeps the JPG exactly as it is, including any blur or blockiness; it only stops further loss.

### Will the background become transparent?

No. A JPG has no transparency, so the PNG has the same solid background. Remove backgrounds in Image Studio.

### Why is the PNG so much bigger?

PNG stores every pixel without throwing detail away. For photos that is usually several times the size of the JPG.
